Emmanuel Ezedinachi, MD, DTMH is a Professor of Medicine and Consultant Physician at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. He is the founder and pioneer of the Institute of Tropical Diseases Research and Prevention at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. His research focuses on tropical and emerging diseases, especially malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis.
 
He was the National Professional Officer in the World Health Organization's Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Program between 2000 and 2007. Dr. Ezedinachi has published many articles and made numerous national and international presentation on malaria and other tropical diseases and continues to provide technical assistance to United Nations agencies.

He obtained his medical degree from the University Dusseldorf, Germany in 1974 and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the Tropical Medicine Institute, Hamburg, Germany in 1978.
