In the Infectious Diseases Institute clinic in Kampala, a sign welcomes those seeking treatment and care.  It displays the Ugandan term mikwano gyaffe, an expression both friendship and partnership, conveying a sense of coming together in shared effort and aspiration.  We seek similarly minded friends and partners – mikwano gyaffe – to join with us in an enterprise that is already having profound and lasting impact on the lives of people too long deprived of hope.
