Anne Collins is active in a number of volunteer and charitable organizations. She is a member of the board of governors of Opportunity International and has been involved in micro-financing efforts in Latin America and Africa. She has participated with Habitat for Humanity in numerous building projects inside and outside of the United States. Ms. Collins has also been involved with several arts organizations, including the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Bravo Music Festival in Vail, Colorado.

She has a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Catherine and a masters of arts in social work from the University of Minnesota.
