The Accordia Leadership Fund encourages annual, unrestricted contributions that allow Accordia to maintain and expand its leadership role in both the United States and abroad. Gifts to the Leadership Fund are used to explore new methods and better treatment approaches for fighting infectious diseases in Africa, take advantage of unexpected opportunities to create needed programs that advance the knowledge and skills of Africa’s healthcare workforce, and provide support to the programs and projects that are in greatest need. Additionally, gifts to the Accordia Leadership Fund leverage and secure the financial and administrative operations of Accordia so that all philanthropic contributions are utilized to achieve maximum impact. Donations to the Accordia Leadership Fund and its President’s Circle also support the delivery of high-quality services in Africa through Accordia-supported clinical, research, prevention, and training programs.

Accordia is committed to the long and steady climb necessary to reach the summit of its goal to bring about permanent improvement in the health of Africans. Gifts to the Accordia Leadership Fund at all levels are used to advance that journey, and are important and appreciated. However, the President’s Circle allows Accordia to show special appreciation to those committed and visionary individuals who support Accordia with a gift of $1,000 or more to the Leadership Fund.

Recognition for Leadership Fund and President’s Circle Donors:

All Leadership Fund donors are recognized in Accordia’s Annual Report, unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous.

President’s Circle donors receive special recognition in that report; they also receive special mailings, updates, and invitations to Accordia events that may be held in their region. They are also invited to participate in trips to Africa, which provide President’s Circle donors with the unique opportunity to see their contributions at work and to understand on a very personal level the ways in which these gifts are making a difference.
