Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) International Exchange Fellowship sends North American and European doctors to Uganda to spend 6 months conducting research at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI). The accomplished scholars and fellows selected to participate in these programs benefit enormously from the opportunity, and from the wealth of expertise made available to them through other faculty exchange programs, visiting experts, and the excellent IDI permanent staff.

The IDSA International Exchange Fellowship program aims to provide young, bright North American and European physicians with a strong international medical education and a basic overview of the complexities and challenges associated with infectious diseases in resource-limited settings. The program also builds productive relationships between Accordia, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and Gilead Sciences through our shared stake in their continuing education.
