Fellowship & Exchange Programs

Creating the Next Generation of Medical Leaders

One of the most important ways in which Accordia Global Health Foundation pursues its mission to overcome the burden of infectious disease in Africa is by nurturing a new generation of leaders to address existing and future health challenges in their own countries. Our fellowship and scholarship programs promote an international medical education that addresses the complexities and challenges associated with infectious diseases in resource-limited settings. The programs are designed to stimulate the next generation of international medical leaders.

The program’s components enable African residents, fellows and more advanced medical scholars to excel – and provide exchange opportunities for their North American and European counterparts to spend time in Africa and contribute to the essential on-site diversity that is the backbone of every truly great institute of higher education.

The future of Africa lies ultimately in the hands of its leaders. Accordia Global Health Foundation is making a sustained investment in the future health of Africa, through the targeted development of the continent’s most promising leaders, and the enhancement of its most accomplished academic medical centers.
